This is a great example of graphic storytelling done right - regardless of the subject matter.
First panel - close up of clenched jaws, choking, apparently we are looking at attempted murder
Second Panel - Something here seems amiss. If we were watching a murder, wouldn't the figures be closer together?
Third Panel - we see that these figures are both nude and on a bed. Se are now aware that sex is the subject here, but the clenched hands suggest pain. Are we watching a rape?
Forth panel: The mood here has calmed significantly. No, this isn't rape, just two guys enjoying rough sex.
However, through your panels, spacing, and the gradual lowering of tension, we feel the intensity of their experience. You have emotionally invested us in the feelings of nameless, faceless characters by simply representing their energy.
